When looking for a Christian science practitioner to follow, you may want to check into their background to see what type of studies they have gone through to become who they are today. Some have written books on their interpretation of God's law and will talk about success stories they have seen of the sick being healed. They will have had to go through the proper training to practice religion. You can ask friends and families what their opinion is on practitioners to see if they are well-liked in the neighborhood.
